MothLab
MothLab Recordings is the soul and the major goal of MothLab’s contemporary project. It is a digital label based primarily on electronica and dance music, spreading an interconnection between the European background of Techno and Electronica sounds and new creations from the American underground music industry.
The first steps were involving an Italian reality made from twenty years of DJ-ing experience with MothLab’s main founder: LUCA BERNABEI Dj, Producer, Party Organizer, Sound Engineer. Luca is a seasoned Minimal Techno / Tech-House composer, getting Avid Pro-Tools and Ableton Live certifications by “Percorsi Audio”, the first Apple, Ableton & Avid certified training center in Italy, which is a technical MothLab partner.
The collaboration of MothLab Recordings’ artists are: ONIRIKA (ITA) considered to be one of the most talented female DJs in Italy. With great musical taste and impressive technique, she entered in the world of music production in 2004 with the first Italian Progressive-House compilation, “Club Revolution”. BRYANT AUTREY (NYC) is a Techno Producer and his music is inspired from any particular event or idea formed into sound. Since 2007, he has been in the production business with a few selections that have already been recognized by a wide international audience. MAKr (NYC) is a 4 element band fusing live instrumentation with electronic technique. Their sound ranges from Downtempo Dub to danceable club grooves. DAMAGED MAN (ITA) inspired from a deep dark backgound. NOT ON EARTH (Spain) an electronic music composer of all genres, mainly electronica, ambient, dubstep and breakbeat, he creates his own sounds by playing all the instruments himself.
MothLab Recordings is distributed on the most important download shops: Beatport, Juno Download, Djshop.de, Amazon, I-Tunes, DjTunes, Djdownload just to name a few.
MothLab is a collective of Producers, Musicians, DJs, Video Editors, VJs, Sound Engineers and Web Designers that collaborate globally between Italy and New York, working on electronic music and event productions, live djsets, live concerts of electronica bands, real time videos, live vjing, visual design, compositing, mapping and video editing.
